16e Een bestand dat er niet is

Deze les gebruikt JSON-bestanden, uit JSON in een bestand.

In les 14f las je scores in uit een bestand. De allereerste keer dat iemand je spel speelt, bestaat dat bestand nog niet:

Uitvoer:

FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'scores.json'

Dat is geen fout van de speler: er zijn nog geen scores. Vang hem af en begin met een lege lijst:

except FileNotFoundError:
    scores = []

print(scores)

Uitvoer:

[]

Na het spel schrijf je scores weg zoals in 14f. De volgende keer bestaat het bestand wel, en slaat Python het except-blok over.

Er gaat iets mis

Het programma hieronder maakt eerst een kapot bestand: bestand.write() schrijft gewone tekst in het bestand, geen JSON.

Uitvoer:

json.decoder.JSONDecodeError: Expecting value: line 1 column 1 (char 0)

Het bestand bestaat wel, maar er staat geen JSON in. Dat is een andere fout, en die vangt except FileNotFoundError niet af. In de opdracht hieronder vang je hem ook af.

Opdracht 16e.1: Een highscore

Lees de highscore uit highscore.json. Bestaat het bestand niet, dan is de highscore 0. Zet er daarna een nieuwe score tegenover.

Verwachte uitvoer:

Highscore: 0
Nieuwe highscore: 120
